My Corner

i’m a busker
standing on
a virtual corner
keeping time
to the world spinning
scribbling thoughts
about what i see
who i meet
and how i fit
(or don’t)
into all of it

i’m a busker
standing on
a virtual corner
in all weather
at all times of the day
playing poetry
for nothing more
than a little time
and perhaps
a few words of
inspiration
to help keep
the mind
from going bankrupt

i’m a busker
standing on
this virtual corner
i’m always
here

    1. SO happy to have reminde dyou of that. I visited Victoria, British Columbia, in 1999 and it was in July, during a buskers festival. I spent the whole week, hanging around the marina, catching all kinds of acts. 🙂 And, I agree, we need more buskers 🙂
